
(DETROIT, May 24, 2007) ? Experience Detroit's crown jewel, the Fox Theatre, like never before! Private group tours are now available, which will give guests a unique behind-the-scenes look at the magnificently restored Fox Theatre. During the 45-minute walking tour, groups will be awed by the exquisite beauty and extravagant architectural design, as well as the history of the Fox Theatre, which has hosted the world's biggest stars for more than 75 years, including Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Jerry Seinfeld and more.
Before walking on-stage for a moment in the spotlight, guests will visit the backstage area to view the signature wall and find out which famous performer was the first to leave their mark. While exploring the distinct architecture try to find the mold numbers left uncovered during the rush to open the Fox in 1928. Learn about the intriguing mythology of the theater, which includes an elephant motif, hidden sets of playing card suites and a mysterious lavender scent. Guests will experience all of this and more as they take a step back in time at the fabulous Fox Theatre!
Fox Theatre tours are available by appointment only, for groups of 15 or more. Tours are offered Monday through Friday on non-event days and tickets are $6 per person. Complimentary motor coach parking is available.

SPECIAL LUNCHEON OPTION! Tour guests can save $2 per person with meal packages at Hockeytown Cafe! Located next door to the Fox Theatre, Hockeytown Cafe offers lunches starting as low as $10. In addition, those who choose to dine at Hockeytown Cafe will be able to view "Encore on Woodward," a short film about the fabulous Fox Theatre narrated by the legendary Bob Hope, free of charge during their meal.
