Years before making his first Def Jam album Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101, released in July 2005, Jeezy set up Corporate Thugz Entertainment and promoted Cash Money releases. From there, he branched out as a label boss and artist in his own right, releasing albums and mixtapes. The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102 was released in late 2006 and became his first number one smash. In 2010 the single "Lose My Mind" announced the coming of his fourth major-label release. A diagnosis of Bell's Palsy would shift the rapper's priorities, delaying the release of the album until late 2011 when TM:103 Hustlerz Ambition finally landed. Dropping the "Young" with only "Jeezy" on its cover, Seen It All: The Autobiography followed in 2014. The album featured the single "Me OK" along with guest appearances from Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and Future. Jeezy released his LP Church in These Streets in 2015. Trap or Die 3, his seventh Def Jam album, arrived in 2016.
Hard-hitting Bronx rapper Remy Ma, born Reminisce Smith, spent much of her youth writing and performing both rhymes and poetry. In 1999, she caught the attention of rapper Big Pun, who soon became Remy's mentor and invited her into his crew, Terror Squad. After Pun's death in 2000, the young MC signed to Universal Records. She first broke onto the mainstream hip-hop scene with her appearance in M.O.P.'s "Ante Up Remix" in 2003, and followed that up the next year with a role in Terror Squad's hit "Lean Back." In 2006, Remy released her debut solo album, There's Something About Remy: Based on a True Story.
Symere Woods, better known by his stage name Lil Uzi Vert, gained recognition after releasing his debut single, "Money Longer", and several mixtapes including Luv is Rage, Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World and The Perfect Luv Tape. Lil Uzi Vert has also collaborated with a variety of rappers, most notably featuring on Migos' "Bad and Boujee" which be-came Lil Uzi Vert's first Billboard Hot 100 number-one single as a featured artist.
Detroit native Tee Grizzley debuted his first mixtape My Moment in Febraury 2017 and is known for his singles “First Day Out,” “From the D to the A” and “Second Day Out”.
Migos is an American hip hop trio formed in 2009, from Lawrenceville, Georgia. The trio is composed of three rappers, known by their stage names Quavo, Offset and Takeoff. Migos released their commercial debut single "Versace", in 2013, taken from their mixtape Y.R.N. They went on to release several singles, such as "Fight Night" (2014), "Look at My Dab" (2015) and the chart topping hit "Bad and Boujee" (2016). Migos 2017 hits “T-Shirt” and “Slippery” contributed to their recent BET Award wins for best group and best collaboration.
