Motor City Madness School Day

Olympia Entertainment and the Horizon League have announced details surrounding the first Motor City Madness School Day set to take place on Tuesday, March 7, in conjunction with the Horizon League women’s basketball championship game at Joe Louis Arena.

All Metro Detroit elementary schools (grades K-5) are eligible to participate in a free, fun and educational field trip at Joe Louis Arena. Participating students will have the opportunity to watch the Horizon League women’s basketball championship game and participate in a pre-game health and fitness presentation.

We’re excited to welcome elementary school students from the Detroit area to The Joe for a wonderful day that will be educational, exhilarating and fun,” said Horizon League Commissioner Jonathan LeCrone. “As the host city to our annual tournament, it’s important to have a far-reaching impact on the city of Detroit and give back in the community. We look forward to showcasing excellent basketball action on the court and providing an educational setting for students attending Motor City Madness School Day.”

Motor City Madness School Day attendees receive:

  • One free ticket to the Horizon League women’s championship game
  • An educational basketball workbook
