College Hockey in the D
The 48th Annual Great Lakes Invitational will feature Michigan (CCHA), Michigan State (CCHA), Western Michigan (CCHA) and tournament host Michigan Tech (WCHA) all competing for the right to hoist the MacInnes Cup. The opening day of the 2012 GLI will take place on Saturday, December 29, and feature the Spartans taking on the Broncos (puck drop - 3:30 p.m.) followed by an evening match pitting the Huskies against the Wolverines (puck drop - 7:00 p.m.). On Sunday, December 30, the tournament's third place game (puck drop - 3:30 p.m.) and championship match (puck drop - 7:00 p.m.) will both be staged at Joe Louis Arena.
